Aftercare Instructions – Nano Eyebrow Tattoo

These healing instructions play a huge role in the end result of your Cosmetic Tattoo. It is important to follow these instructions in their entirety to achieve the best result.

During the WHOLE healing process No Make-up should be applied to the brow area. Surrounding areas are okay, as long as care is taken when removing.

Day One through Three

Your new Eyebrow Tattoo will appear very dark, and overwhelming during this time. Your eyebrow tattoo will change a lot during the next few weeks, so please trust the healing process.

Avoid wetting the eyebrows for this period of time. Bathing is recommended rather than showering, and a face cloth or make-up wipe to clean your face will have best results. No sweating during this time, as the tattooed hair strokes have not yet healed into your skin and could potentially swell or migrate due to sweat and sebum diluting the implanted pigment.

Day Four through ten

You can begin to apply the Vitamin A&D ointment provided. You will need to apply the ointment every 4 hours excluding bedtime. A tiny amount should be applied using a clean Q-tip. Apply a very small amount onto the eyebrow area, just enough to keep the area moisturized. Do not use too much ointment, as it can clog the pores, and cause small tiny bumps to appear in all the areas it was applied. You can now wet the eyebrows when showering, but it is still recommended that no sweating takes place until day seven.

Day Ten +

Your Eyebrow Tattoo appears to be fully healed, but will still change below the surface, and lighten up and soften. The full healing process takes about 6 weeks, and will require an 8 week touch–up to fill in any areas that may need a bit of a boost.

It is important that during the first 14 days you do not touch the eyebrows excessively, as your hands carry bacteria that can cause infection.  Avoid tanning, Jacuzzis, saunas, hot yoga, facials, working out, Retin-A etc. Also avoid wearing any cosmetics, soaps and creams. DO NOT ITCH the healing area, as tempting as it may be, as you can damage the healing process by removing any scabs or flakes prematurely. As you apply the ointment very gently you may notice some flakes coming off onto the Q-Tip, do not worry as this is normal.

It is recommended that sunscreen be applied on the eyebrow area daily to avoid premature fading, as the sun can fade your Eyebrow Tattoo quite quickly. It can also play a role in the pigment fading to a not so desirable color. Retin-A and other chemicals associated with exfoliating the skin at a more rapid rate, will cause your eyebrows to fade faster, and should be avoided. Additional make-up may be required to achieve desired results.
